Greetings, fellow entrepreneurs, aspiring moguls, and curious readers! I’m Nicola Cairncross, and I’m delighted to welcome you to my new book & training course "How To Start A Business The 'Better Entrepreneur' Way".

If you're here, it means you’ve got that entrepreneurial spark, and I’m here to help fan that flame into a roaring success.

One of the ways we'll do that is by offering you 'just in time' support via the private Facebook Group.  Just click here to join that now.

A quick heads-up before we dive in: if you're expecting a dull, jargon-heavy manual, you might want to put this book back on the shelf. But if you’re up for a short practical guide to turning your business dreams into reality, then buckle up!  Even if you are a little way down the road, this guide will help you too.

Let me start by sharing a bit of my own journey. When I was 35 I was stuck in a series of dead-end jobs and failed businesses.  I was applying for secretarial positions that paid a whopping £12-14k per year and had to move my entire family into my sister’s tiny fisherman’s cottage in Worthing.

Tough times, indeed.

Everything changed when a book literally fell off a shelf at Books Etc. in Oxford Street and landed in my hands. That book was "Swimming With Piranha Makes You Hungry" by the brilliant Dr. Colin Turner. I devoured it, did all the exercises, and moved on to other game-changers like "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki, and "The E-Myth Revisited" by Michael Gerber.

These books - and hiring a great business coach - became my real education because, although bright, I left school at 16 with only three skills: reading, typing, and marketing igloos to Eskimos. Yes, I know that’s three, but hey, I never said I was great at math!

With newfound knowledge and a burning desire to change my life, I began my journey towards entrepreneurial success. You can read my business memoir 'A Better Entrepreneur' along with the 25 lessons I learned along the way, by clicking the image on the right.

I started an online business called, which was shortlisted for Dragon's Den, then, on the encouragment of my coach, I trained as a coach myself for three years with Coach University USA, founded by the inspirational Thomas Leonard. I'm still a lifelong member of the Coachville Schools of Coaching.

I specialised in helping poeple to learn about how money and abundant thinking really works, because that was what most fascinated me at the time, while learning about how to market my new coaching business better online - something that was to become a lifelong passion.

Within two years, I was earning more than I ever had in my life and had bought a half-million-pound hotel in Worthing, 'no money down', called The Acacia. I bought it, renovated it and filled it for the summer trade in under 12 weeks.

Simultaneously, I devised and launched The Money Gym coaching programme in 2002, including home study materials, one-to-one coaching calls, and interactive workshops which were held in my own hotel!

The Money Gym enabled several of its clients to become millionaires, and some are en route to becoming multi-millionaires already. I published “The Money Gym – Wealth Building Workout” in 2003 (updated in 2010 after the Global Financial Crash), which is available on Amazon and in all good bookshops, as they say!

As I say, I was shortlisted for a major Channel 4 series on entrepreneurs, 'Dragon's Den', and have been screen-tested for a new Sky One TV series. I'm regularly featured in the press and radio, and was a guest recently on CNN Breakfast News, which was broadcast worldwide.

After selling the hotel, I launched a digital marketing agency for my friend Neil Asher, before creating a digital marketing agency Clicks & Leads and then later launching the 'Extraordinary Entrepreneurs Academy'.

I'm passionate about helping other business owners in the UK recognize and maximize their full potential and value, as I initially struggled with business success, having started and failed at more businesses than I care to remember!

Oh, and I’ve written twelve books along the way.

Let's Talk About You!

But enough about me—let’s talk about you and your business idea.

Whether you’re dreaming of opening a quaint coffee shop, launching the next big tech startup, or anything in between, there are certain steps that you will want to take along the way

I've kept it as simple and concise as possible, because entrepreneurs are impatient and I certainly learn by doing, but there are elements in this 'new business manual' that I wished I'd known before I got started.

Here’s to your success!

Nicola Cairncross
